This step by step manual will show you how to setup a product from amazon.com and market it through search engines. If you do this right, you will earn a commission at zero cost to you.

You will follow my steps as I setup a real product, for another of my web sites; Daxion Games™. Click here to see the end result web page. The process of setup will provide you with examples and how-to-instructions.

The purpose of these instructions is to learn you the basics of how to make a web page for a (any) product, that you will market by ranking your page in the largest search engines, like Yahoo, MSN Search and Google.

Since pages on internet are being ranked at the discretion of the search engines, there is no cost to you. However there are things you can do to improve the position of your web page in search engines. That's what this step by step manual is about.

Please read though all the steps in this manual first, then start over and build your product page, step by step.

Step 1

Preparations

First choose a product. In this step by step manual we will not go into this topic, please look in the 'step by step' menu on this page if you need to learn this. For the purpose of this manual, I have already chosen a product that will be used in the forthcoming examples.

The product is an all new pc-game, SiN Episodes: Emergence. At the time this manual is written and the corresponding web page made, there is two weeks to the release date of the game. The game will be released May 1, 2006.

The most important preparation is yourself. Prepare yourself with patience and see to it that you are not in a hurry. As with many things, your harvest is not better than your seed. Good results take time and you don't want to risk being sloppy. Work done right will give your page a good position for quite some time with little or no efforts after the initial web page is setup.

I assume you know the basics of setting up a web page and that you have access to a web page editor and that your web pages are hosted on an internet server. In the upcoming examples I will use Microsoft FrontPage 2003. For your information, if referred to later, I use the latest web browser from Microsoft; Internet Explorer 7.0, with tab-browsing.

Step 2

SEO: explained

SEO is an abbreviation for Search Engine Optimization. If you know what this is already, go to step 3.

The key to search engine optimization is keywords. This will be explained in further detail later. For my product I chose the following keyword phrases; "buy sin episodes", "episode sin", "emergence episode sin".
